Team leader: Máté Zöldy, PhD, Habil., Doctor of Science, full professor
The main professional and research areas
Building on the traditional research areas of the Department of Automotive Engineering, the research team researches, develops and teaches together with the automotive industry with a strong powertrain focus. In addition to traditional powertrains and fuels, our business focuses on new powertrains and fuels in addition to hybrid and electric vehicles. In our projects, in addition to SMEs with a Hungarian background, we work with international multinational companies. We use our high-quality tools not only in research but also in education.
Key industrial partnerships, most significant projects
The most important industrial partners of the research group are Bosch Group, Knorr Bremse, Audi Hungária Zrt. and MouldTech Kft. The industrial collaborations create a real demand for competence from the market through intensive R&D innovation cooperation, thus ensuring the need for highly qualified new engineers.
Key results that are also of industrial use
- Drive train optimisation (Bosch eAxle)
- Hybrid drive systems (electro-hydraulic drive)
- Bootcamp training in eMobility
- Race car suspension (Tipo EV)
- New fuel formulations
The research team’s relations with students
The research team also involves MSc and PhD students.
