BME Automated Drive Lab

BME Automated Drive Lab is a laboratory at the Department of Automotive Technologies of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The laboratory aims to perform cutting-edge R&D activities in the full spectrum of highly automated and autonomous road vehicles. As a university research group, the laboratory aims to link academic and industrial competences, as well as education and research.

The laboratory aims to catalyse the acceptance and uptake of self-driving vehicles and related technologies. In addition to fundamental research, the laboratory is also conducting applied research in this area, i.e. developing real automated vehicles and functionalities for authentic demonstrations, and we aim to develop more functionality in the future to create safe, autonomous vehicles.

Our mission is to combine academic and industrial competences to become a world-renowned education and research institution.
