Transport technical expert
The basic purpose of the further training program for the transport technical expert is to train engineers with special knowledge in the transport field to support judicial bodies in the field of accident analysis, vehicle evaluation and vehicle repair.
The students are expected to understand the processes at a deeper level, to be able to creatively use simulation software to solve new tasks and to better understand the unique processes leading to accidents by the necessary further development of the simulation technique by requesting more specialized laboratory tests and their appropriate evaluation.
Successfully completed studies entitle the graduates if the conditions prescribed by law are met, to act fully as a member of the Chamber of Forensic Experts in transport expert tasks.
The subjects of the basic knowledge and professional core material of the curriculum are Mathematics, Legal Knowledge, Computer Application, Systems Engineering, Traffic Technology and Criminal Technical Knowledge. In contrast, the special specialist knowledge subject group is Vehicle Damage, Damage Analysis, Accident Investigation, Data Processing, Tracked Vehicles, Photogrammetry, Personal Injuries, Vehicle tests and the evaluation of accident forms include subjects.
The lessons of the correspondence course are held on Mondays in line with the busy period of the university’s full-time course, the assessments take place – as prescribed in the curriculum – signatures and practice marks are obtained, as well as during written or oral exams.
The training lasts 4 semesters and ends with a final exam and thesis defense. During 4 semesters, the lectures take place 1 day a week, 8 hours a day.
Conditions for participation: Diploma in mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering or transport engineering obtained in a master’s program (or university-level training according to the previous training system).
The form of the training: self-funded, the fee of which is HUF 420,000 per semester.
