As part of the Automated Drive Lab, the Vehicle Safety and Security Research Group at the Department of Automotive Technologies, BME is continuously working to enhance traffic safety. Within this effort, Eng. Andrea Marchetta (University of Naples Federico II) is spending a research semester at our department, focusing on the development of a flexible, modular, and scalable V2X test framework.
This system leverages parallel simulations to analyze both intentional and unintentional interferences in vehicle communication, with a particular emphasis on their safety impact.
A recent joint demonstration was a great success, showcasing the project’s progress so far. The event was also attended by Prof. Marcello Cinque from the University of Naples Federico II, who actively supports the collaboration.
During the visit, researchers discussed current challenges in vehicle safety and cybersecurity and laid the groundwork for future collaborations. We extend our gratitude to Eng. Andrea Marchetta, Prof. Marcello Cinque, and Prof. Árpád Török, head of the research group, as well as to Dr. Zsolt Szalay, head of the department, for their support.
We look forward to further joint achievements and continued international cooperation! 🚗🔬
